Our History: Commitment to the Earth and People
Isidro Hernández is a cactus farmer who, due to lack of advice and resources, was forced to make excessive use of pesticides and herbicides that were harmful to his health. This constant exposure made him seriously ill, preventing him from working. Not having social security or any pension, forced him to sell his land and once he was left without resources he had to go back to work but now for other people, thus worsening his health and losing all his assets. Isidro's story is common for many agricultural workers in Mexico, this situation inspired the creation of Campo Vivo. We started by exporting fresh nopal to the US but the project evolved to offer high quality products, and it is through the sale of these that we seek to provide support and better working conditions to farmers. At Campo Vivo we promote organic and permaculture practices that allow farmers to become self-sufficient, producing not only nopal, but also eggs, gas and solar energy, thus reducing their dependence on external agents and providing them with greater tools to face life with greater resilience.
Fair Trade
We are committed to fair trade from the origin. We ensure that we source the highest quality raw materials while paying our producers a fair price for their hard work. Beyond that, we seek the well-being and quality of life of farmers by actively promoting their access to social security and health care. We believe in an ethical supply chain that benefits everyone involved, from farmers to consumers, creating a positive impact in our communities and the world.

Field Support
We recognize that more than 95% of farmers in Mexico lack social security, a situation that should not exist in the 21st century. This is why at Campo Vivo, we not only strive to offer quality products, but we also actively promote that our suppliers receive this fundamental right that every worker deserves, to be able to protect themselves against any eventuality and to be able to receive a retirement that supports them when They can no longer continue working.
A better world
Our passion for food merges with a firm commitment to the environment and people's health. We have set ourselves the goal of using environmentally friendly techniques as much as possible within our processes. To achieve this, we work closely with our suppliers, providing them with advice and support so that together we can achieve this important goal. We believe that healthy and sustainable eating is essential for a better world, and we strive every day to contribute to the preservation of the planet and the well-being of our consumers.
